Alexander Stanishev has won the Kodak Vision Award for Best Cinematography at Slamdance 2012 for his feature film “Faith, Love and Whiskey” by director Kristina Nikolova. He has been a director of photography for the Bulgarian prime time TV series “Glass Home” – a film with a glossy and stylish cinematography and one of the highest ratings in the history of Bulgarian Television. He shot the historic TV film ”Exiles” by director Alexander Morfov. He worked as DOP on the TV feature film “Forced Landing” and the feature documentary “Now and Forever” (also called “The first Bulgarian Rockumentary”) by director Drago Sholev. He had shot numerous short films, music videos and more than 50 commercials for clients as: Mtel, EVN-Bulgaria, Raiffeisen bank, United Bulgarian Bank, Ariana Beer, Praktiker, Globul, Gillette, Deroni, Interamerican and others. He was second unit DP for the most successful Bulgarian movie “Mission London”. He filmed in New York City, London, Florence and Vienna for different projects. In the last year he started conducting cinematography workshops in Kemi – Tornio university of Applied Sciences in Finland. He is currently working on the 3rd season of the prime time crime TV series “Undercover”.
